On the wheel

This is blend of the softest fibre I've ever smooshed against my face, a superfine alpaca that I found at Fibre East, with a smattering of silver Angelina fibre. This is the first time I've spun alpaca and it's very different; the fibres are longer and grip together easier than sheep wool. I guess this is why it shrinks so intensely when lazily washed!

The fibre was blended into rolags, and I managed to get 100g blended in an hour and a half. The blending brush makes a real difference.
